Newegg.com is mainly on online retailer of computer hardware and software. They have incorporated more common appliances and electronics to car parts and household items.

Shopping at Newegg

• A shipping/billing address is required as well as credit card or pay pal information.
  • No major scandals of identity theft or the like are known by the author.
• There have been cases were the item shipped was damaged or non functional in some way. Many times it seems Newegg owners work with the customer to refund or replace the damaged item. (The author however has never had an experience with newegg of having a damaged item shipped, so is unable to comment extensively on this aspect)

Concerns

• There have been problems such as in March 2010 Newegg sold, seemingly unknowingly, 300+ counterfeit Intel processors 1. However when they discovered the problem they offered to replace all units that customers had purchased.
